When They See Us
A limited series based on the story of the Exonerated Five, written and produced by Ava DuVernay, When They See Us details the mistreatment of Korey Wise, Yusef Salaam, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana and Antron McCray by the justice system after they were falsely accused and then prosecuted in the infamous 1989 Central Park jogger case.

Just Mercy
The 2019 film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton is based on a real-life story, starring Jamie Foxx as wrongfully convicted death row inmate Walter McMillian and Michael B. Jordan as defense attorney Bryan Stevenson, in a fight for justice against an unbalanced system.
On Tuesday, Warner Bros. announced that the film would be available to rent for free throughout the month of June, tweeting, “We believe in the power of story. #JustMercy is one resource we can offer to those who are interested in learning more about the systemic racism that plagues our society. For the month of June, #JustMercy will be available to rent for free on digital platforms in the US.”

13th
Named for the 13th Amendment -- which abolished slavery in the United States and ended involuntary servitude except as a punishment for conviction of a crime -- this documentary from director Ava DuVernay combines archival footage with testimony from activists and scholars in an examination of the U.S. prison system -- taking a close look at how America's history of racial inequality drives the high rate of incarceration.

Queer Eye
The Fab 5 are headed to the City of Brotherly Love for their fifth season and Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Tan France are more than ready to make over some Philadelphia heroes! “We’re here to figure out how to make [our heroes] better versions of themselves,” Porowski previously told ET about the main goal of the series. And while the food expert never thought it would go beyond one season, Queer Eye has since become a global phenomenon, making stars of all the hosts and most importantly, has radically changed the lives of the people on screen and those watching at home.

Legendary
Following the success of FX’s scripted series Pose, comes this reality competition series about the underground ballroom scene, where houses compete in weekly battles in order to proclaim domain over the community and collect the grand prize. The series is hosted by emcee Dashaun Wesley and deejayed by MikeQ with Law Roach, Jameela Jamil, Leiomy Maldonado and Megan Thee Stallion serving on the judges' panel. “It is like the world’s greatest talent show,” Roach says, that gives “a lot of super talented people that have not had the chance to be introduced or represented in the mainstream” an opportunity to be seen.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Last year's underappreciated Marielle Heller film (it's becoming a theme) is far from the twee, feel-good Misteri Rogers' movie the marketing made it seem. Yes, beloved actor Tom Hanks plays beloved television host Fred Rogers, but it's the friction and tension between him and Matthew Rhys' jaded journalist that makes for such a compelling story. Of course, if it's the heartwarming happy ending you're after, that's there too.

Love Life
Anna Kendrick leads the first season of this HBO Max anthology series created by Sam Boyd about one’s journey from first love to lasting love. The Oscar nominee plays Darby, who is seen navigating the ups and downs of love and life in New York City during her twenties. The actress says the show will resonate with audiences of all kinds because it “captures exactly how it feels when you have your first love and your first breakup.”

Space Force
Greg Daniels and Steve Carell reunite for the first time since The Office for this new Netflix comedy, which follows Carell's General Mark R. Naird in his efforts to establish the newest branch of the U.S. Armed Forces: The Space Force.
